Xbox 360 Elite

The Xbox 360 is the second generation gaming console Microsoft has released. It is the direct competitor to Sony’s PlayStation 3 (PS3) and the Nintendo Wii. As of March 31, 2011, there are over 53.6 million Xbox 360 consoles worldwide.

The Xbox 360 Elite is the upgraded version of the original Xbox 360. The Elite system comes with a 120GB hard drive and a sleek black finish. The Elite was released in North America on April 29, 2007, with an initial price of $479.99. With the announcement of the new Xbox 360 250 GB model, the price of the Elite dropped down to $249.99 for remaining units. Microsoft has since stopped production of the Xbox 360 Elite model.

The Xbox 360 Super Elite, which was first available in October 2009, came with a 250GB hard drive and was the upgraded version of the Xbox 360 Elite. The console retailed at $399.99 and was part of a number of bundle packages including the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 bundle. The bundle included a limited edition black Xbox 360 console with Modern Warfare 2 branding.
